Albany -- The Exchange Club of Albany honored its 2007 Law Enforcement Officers of the Year. Six law officers were recognized for their outstanding work.

Dougherty County Police HEAT Officer Jeremiah Fenn, Dougherty Sheriff's Investigator Lt. Craig Dodd, Georgia State Patrol Sergeant Shawn Urquhart, DNR Corporal Robbie Griner and Lee County Sheriff's Lt. David Chesire were honored.

Also recognized as Officers of the Year were Albany Police Sgt. Kendra Wilson and her husband, Cpl. Bennie Wilson.

The crime-fighting couple says their marriage helps their job. Sgt. Kendra Wilson said "we work the cases together at home, and then bring it to work, and say OK here it is. And he'll pick them up and bring them back up. We'll talk with them, do the interview, and we'll solve cases that way. It works for us. "

Each of the Officers of the year got a plaque and a check from the Exchange Club of Albany, to thank them for their service to the community.
