Albany -- A world-renowned entrepreneur,  known for starting a company that bears his name, inspired students at Albany State University.

Wally Amos started the Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookie Store. He's also an author and motivational speaker. Today, Amos dedicates himself to literacy, educational causes, and reading programs. Amos said "individuals are important. Everything is possible. Believing in yourself is what you are supposed to do. Don't allow others to determine what your future is."

Amos sold his Famous Amos Cookie Company to Kellogg's, but returned to baking with his Uncle Wally's Muffin Company.

He has written eight books, and works as a literacy advocate.
