Albany -- Professional Bull Riders are returning to Albany this week hoping to earn a spot at the Las Vegas World Finals and entertain crowds along the way.

The Albany Invitational is an annual event that's part of the 2007 PBR Discovery Tour. The bulls featured come from one of the top livestock contractors Frontier Rodeo. Their bulls have ranked as world champions for the past two years.

"You'll see them on all the major television networks sports shows. They are the bull riders who are spoken about quite often in the news. They are the cowboy's version of the Nascar drivers," said Civic Center Director John Mazzola.

The riders will compete Friday and Saturday Feb. 16-17, at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale at the Civic Center box office and start at $12.
