Valdosta - Small business owners and entrepreneurs are spurring Valdosta's downtown development and economic growth.

To honor these business and provide information for new ones looking to move in, City officials are planning an Entrepreneurs Week.

The city will hold events to provide information about the city and the incentives for starting a new business.

Programs like these have played a major role in convincing entrepreneurs to set up shop in Valdosta.  "They are not going to take their small home grown business and move somewhere else so the likelihood is they'll continue to grow and expand and continue creating jobs in our community," says Main Street Director, Niki Knox.

Entrepreneur Week will begin February 27th with events leading up to the First Friday Celebration on March 2nd.
