Albany --  Albany State University students came together Wednesday to support the ICAN Resource Centers book drive.

The book drive featured food and music to help attract students to help raise money, books, and much needed school supplies that the ICAN Resource Center provides to disadvantaged school children.

Organizers say the drive was a great idea to help get some much needed supplies. "Their supplies are very limited so we decided to do a book drive. We are accepting donations, books, pencils, notebooks and anything that the young kids can use in school," said ICAN volunteer Melissa Lewis.

The ICAN Resource Center in Albany helps school aged children from four to twelve years of age with homework and much needed school supplies.
