Storm downs power lines, repairs made

February 14, 2007

Sylvester-  The powerful storms downed hundreds of power lines, keeping lighting crews busy Tuesday night and again Wednesday.

Crews worked until 11:00 Tuesday night restoring power to everyone who lost it during the storm and were back out at eight Wednesday morning making more repairs. There were more than 40 outages reported in Sylvester alone. While everyone has power it will be some time before all the lines can be repaired.

"It's going to take us a couple of days, but I think within a little time we'll get everything, everybody had power when we left last night," said Terry Dorminey, Light lineman.

Crews said the work has been difficult because the problems have been widespread, one house here, and one house there.
