Valdosta  --  Two inmates who escaped from the Pierce County Jail have been re-captured.

Twenty-three year-old James Taylor and 24 year-old Alix Taylor escaped late Tuesday night.

Deputies found James Taylor around noon on Wednesday, still in Pierce County. Investigators found Alix Taylor soon after in a family members home in Lowndes County.

Both men are being charged with escape. Deputies believe a malfunction in lock-up could have led to their escape.
