Americus-  Sumter County Primary Students who met their reading goals were treated to some fun in the snow Wednesday.

Adel Ice Company filled the field next to the school with the powdery white stuff. Five hundred students met their accelerated reading goals and were invited outside. A couple of students made a small snowman while others just enjoyed the snow.

"Make Snow Balls," said Dakota Knight, Sumter County Student.

Students set their own reading goals each month. The Accelerated Reading program is in its fourth year at Sumter County Schools.
