Moody Air Force Base - The 820th Security Forces Group at Moody Air Force Base is getting a new tool to help them in war zones.

The 820th has been selected to deploy the new Ground Situational Awareness Toolkit.

The kit includes the Scan Eagle unmanned aerial system and ShotSpotter gunfire acquisition technology.

They hope the new tools will allow them to identify and locate enemy gunfire.

The Scan Eagle has primarily been used on Navy and Marine missions in Iraq.  The 820th will be the first Air Force Unit to use it.

They are expecting it's arrival in early March.
