Thomas County--  Two houses in the Acacia, Inwood area of Thomas county off Hwy 319, were broken into yesterday and there was an attempted break-in at a third.

All happened while the homeowners were away at work. The time-frame and the items taken make investigators think all the break ins were done by the same thieves.

"Two of the residence's that were entered, they went through the house pretty thorough, they had some fire arms missing, some jewelry, checks, that kind of thing," said Investigator Pascal Autrey of the Thomas County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say the burglars broke in through the window in each case.  Police are looking for a small burgundy car that was seen in the area around the time of the break-ins, for questioning.
