Albany, GA  --   The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business and the Albany Diversity Council will sponsor a new construction and home buying seminar on Saturday, January 27, 2007 from 10am-3pm.; 222 Pine Avenue, Government Building , Albany Georgia.

The event is free with free parking in the parking deck adjacent to the Government Building.

                            "Preparing our Communities for Homeownership - wanna buy day"

Participants will gain insight into the home-buying process, become familiar with vendors and learn about their rights as homebuyers and homeowners.  There will be representatives from areas of housing, credit counseling, real estate, banking, and construction developers.

Dr. Russell Odom, Special Projects Director for the Office of the President of the National Baptist Convention and the Exodus Holding Group will be on hand to offer housing assistance for the New Albany Community Developments.
