More charges filed in the death of a former Albany realtor

Lee County-  More charges are filed against a Lee County man charged with the brutal murder of a retired realtor.  Twenty nine year old Corrie Denby, in November confessed to killing 79 year old Pat Murphy. 

The grand jury has now indicted him on three additional felony counts of murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

The three murder charges are because the killing happened during the commission of other crimes.  Denby is charged with cutting the throat of 79-year old Pat Murphy at his Lee County home November 30th.

Murphy's body was found December 6th. Denby remains in jail without bond.

    Figures released by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) today show that Metro Albany’s unemployment rate dropped three tenths of a point in March, to 5.7 percent. It was six percent in February.
