School break-in leads to shooting

Albany -- Gunshots are fired after Dougherty County School Police respond to an early morning alarm at a local elementary school. It happened before five Saturday morning at Northside Elementary on 14th Avenue.

An APD report says Dougherty County School Officer Michael Hudson responded to the incident, saw two suspects run down the hall, and fired three shots at the suspects.

The report says two people were caught and arrested, one minor from Albany and 17-year-old Chris A. Lilly. Lilly is charged with burglary.

No word on why the teens were in the building.
