Albany-  Starting next week, it will be tougher to get into the United States especially for Americans without a passport.  All air travelers coming into the United States will need a passport, even if it's from Canada, Mexico, or Bermuda.

The change is keeping Albany's Passport Office at the South Slappey Post Office busy. The new changes which take affect Tuesday requiring everyone entering the U-S by airplane to have a passport has tripled the number of people normally applying for a passport.

"They need to keep in mind it takes 6 to 8 weeks to get one back, so with keeping that in mind you'll know exactly when you need to come," said Lisa Summers, Claims and Passports.

The cost of an adult passport is $97.00, a child's passport is $82.00. By 2008, passports will be required for land and sea travelers as well.
