Albany - - Seven men were arrested in East Albany Thursday night in a reverse prostitution sting.

Three female deputies went undercover and stood at this corner of Mock Road and Leonard Avenue.

Investigators say 69 year old Richard Reid, 27 year old Martin Sebastian, 44 year old Andrew Cooper, 27 year old Stephen Saxon, 39 year old Barry Tomlinson, 28 year old Fredy Quintero, and 33 year old Daniel Beam tried to pay the undercover deputies for sex.

"You don't know who you're going to be driving up to and soliciting for sex so its best not to be doing it. You may be going up to a law enforcement officer and you're going to be arrested within moments of the solicitation and you're probably going to be in the news," says Lt. Craig Dodd.

The men are charged with pandering, which is a misdemeanor. Lt. Dodd says the Sheriff's Office got a lot of complaints about prostitution in that area.

The Drug Unit assisted in the sting.
