Rams fall in OT to Benedict

Albany - HPER Gym did not provide the magic Albany State needed.

The Rams fall in overtime to first place Benedict College 70-68.

It is the fourth straight loss for the Albany State men and their fifth in their last six games.

Frank Pinson and Travon McGruder both had 18 points each for the Rams (3-10, 3-5).

Benedict's Leslie Brown led the Tigers (14-1, 9-0) with 14 pionts and Lamont Robinson had 14.

The women's game was not as close with the Lady Tigers winning 71-51 over the Lady Rams.

Vanessa Jackson had 12 points for the Albany State women (6-9, 3-5).

Benedict (8-5, 7-1) was led by Valarie McQueen's 19 points.

Both Albany State teams are back at the HPER gym Saturday against Paine College.

Game times are 6:00 P.M. for the women and 8:00 P.M. for the men.
