Leesburg - The sport of high school wrestling offers teams the chance to win two state titles in one season.
The first state titles will be handed out at the state dual team meet this weekend in Macon.
Lee County has qualified for the team state meet after winning their area title last weekend.
First year coach Phil Maxfield, who took over Kevin Dowling, who is now the Lee County High School principal, has a young squad in his first season.
And Maxfield believes the dual meet will be a good tue-up for the traditional state meet next month.
Maxfield said "Try to find out who has got tough kids in what weight classes. That will help us. And then when we get to the state tournament to know where our matchups are and see which kids we have got that have some chance of getting some type of placement at state."
Lee County will wrestle Jones County in the first round on Friday.
Valdosta, Lowndes, Cairo, Westover, Cook and Fitzgerald have also qualified for the state team dual wrestling meet Friday and Saturday at the Macon Coliseum.
