Albany - Changes are coming to the board that oversees the Water, gas and light commission. Commissioner Julie Roth will no longer sit on the board. Tuesday, during appointments by the Albany City Commission, Roth was replaced by Dr. Amit Singh, a professor at Darton College.

Roth and Commissioner Commodore Conyers terms both ended January 1st. The board voted to keep Conyers on the commission, but Roth only received three votes. Four were necessary to be placed back on the board. No reason was given as to why Roth was not reappointed.

Another commission position will soon be vacated, as Tommy Chatmon resigns from the board. He is taking a job in Orlando, Florida.
