Lowndes County - Lowndes County has a new seal.

But only minor changes were made and the seal still features the date the county was established and the county courthouse.

They plan to phase it in, in an attempt to save tax payers money.  "We really tried to make this move without an increase cost to the tax payers so we've held up on ordering some of our supplies until after the new year that we normally would have ordered so we could wait until the new seal is adopted," says Paige Dukes, Public Information Officer for Lowndes County.

The seal will be featured on county documents soon.
