Thomasville-- The semester at Thomas University began yesterday with record new student enrollment.

They have about a fifty percent increase in new student enrollment from last spring. Last year, there were a hundred new students, this semester 150.

University leaders say they're excited about the growth.  "We've got room to grow and so we are ready to welcome in this new class and serve them with and provide them with the education that only Thomas University can," said Heather Mueller, Thomas University's Executive Director of Student Enrollment.

The school says they've done a good job retaining their returning students, which adds to the record enrollment.
