Camilla-  A new session of congress begins Thursday and U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss will turn over the reigns of the Senate Agriculture Committee.

A shift in power in Congress to the democrats, cost Chambliss his chairmanship, just when the new farm bill is being drafted. Chambliss remains the ranking Senator on the committee that will now be chaired by Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa.

Chambliss is confident the two can draft a bipartisan farm bill. "But at the end of the day, I feel very confident that he and I will be able to work together to draft a good farm policy that will provide a safety net to our farmers," said Sen. Saxby Chambliss, (R) Georgia.

Chambliss hopes to regain the chairmanship in two years.
