Thomasville--  A Thomasville man is recovering after being shot in the arm New Years eve.   28 year old Brian Clarke was transported to Archbold Hospital to be treated for the gunshot wound.

Investigators say 55 year old Jerome Green admitted shooting Clarke after an argument about Clarke's girlfriend.   The shooting happened at the Travel Center on the Thomasville bypass around 10:30 Sunday night.   Green was arrested at his home a little over an hour later.

Clarke is still in the hospital.  "He had surgery yesterday afternoon, I talked to a family member last night and they said they think he will be able to regain full use of his arm. . . But it's gonna take a while," said Investigator Tim Watkins of the Thomas County Sheriff's office.

Green is charged with one count of aggravated assault and was released on bond. Investigators say he has no prior record.
