New Year's Eve Activities Galore

Albany - - The countdown to the New Year is underway and some Albany businesses are preparing for the big night.

Harvest Moon is expecting a packed house New years Eve. This year, the city will allow all restaurants and motels to sell alcohol until 2:55 am, instead of stopping at midnight.

Harvest Moon's owner says his restaurant will be a place for the entire family.

"Were having dinner specials all night, we'd love for the couples to come out and have dinner. We're gonna have live music for you to enjoy, watch and entertain you. Just a lot of good fun down here for New Year's Eve," says Bo Henry.

The Windsor Hotel in Americus is hosting a New Years Eve Party with music and a dinner buffet. The event lasts from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m.

The Knights of Columbus in Albany is holding a New Years Eve Dance at their facility on Gillionville Road starting at 8:00 p.m. 

The Hilton Garden Inn in Albany will also have a New Years Bash. It will include a DJ, a light show, laser show, food, and a midnight champagne toast.

The event starts at 8:00 p.m. and lasts until 2:00 a.m. 

Three Albany Churches are teaming up to offer Unity Watch Night. Greater 2nd Mount Olive, Gethsemane Worship Center, and New Birth Fellowship Church will hold a collective worship service at the Civic Center. It's free and begins at 8:00 p.m.

    Five new family medicine doctors will soon enter the workforce after spending three years of their residency here in Albany. Doctors Danielle Andrews, Sarah Codrea, Justin Lancaster, John Macon and Jennifer Yam graduated the Phoebe Family Medicine Residency program Saturday night at the Doublegate Country Club.
