Albany - Liquor Stores won't be open for New Year's Eve, but that's not hurting business. Actually, stores may be in even better shape because folks have already started stocking up for parties and gatherings on Sunday.

Warehouse liquors already had long lines by noon today and things are only expected to get busier. The best seller for the holiday? Champagne of course. But if you sip too much, stay put.

Lewis Bernard says, "We don't want to see anybody drinking and driving. Use a designated driver if they are partying on New Year's Eve and just being safe."

A good idea for home parties is to ask that when folks arrive they place their keys in a bowl. If they drink, the host should take the keys and call a cab.
