Valdosta - Valdosta's Theme Park is offering a wild way to bring in the new year.
Wild Adventures will be open through midnight Sunday for those looking for an alternative way to welcome 2007.
The park will be decked out in an arctic theme and a buffet will be offered to park goers up until midnight. Then they'll count down the final seconds of 2006 with a laser light and fireworks show.
Park Officials say it's the perfect way to celebrate the holiday safely with your family. "It's perfect to bring a family to celebrate the new year. We have fun from all ages. It's a safe, affordable place to come out. Of course, the park is alcohol free so we enjoy safe family fun," says Sara Sumner, Public Relations Coordinator at Wild Adventures.
All extra events and food will be included in the regular price of park admission.
Other events going on New Years Eve in Valdosta, The Rocking Rodeo will have a New Years eve celebration with live bands, a balloon drop at midnight and free party favors.
In Remerton, Mellow Mushroom will ring in the new year with a live band and a Champaign toast at midnight.
Charley O'Corley's will also hold new years eve festivities with live music, drink specials, and a Champaign toast.
