Tifton - An armed robbery in Tifton should have been caught on tape Wednesday, but wasn't. Mystik convenience store on Ferry lake Road was robbed at gunpoint just after noon.

The robber made the clerk empty both cash registers and told her that he would kill her if she called the police. That incident would have been caught on tape, but wasn't because the store surveillance system isn't up to par--a new digital system was being installed Thursday. Unfortunately, another store was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday, but that crime also was not recorded.
