Lady Rams win Great Southern Shootout

Macon - The Worth County girls basketball team gave themselves an early Christmas present on Saturday.

The Lady Rams trounced Swainsboro 65-32 to win the championship of their bracket at Westside High's Great Southern basketball tournament.

Shonterria Walker hit seven 3-point baskets to lead the Lady Rams with 21 points.

Tia Lewis was named to the all-tournament team.

Worth County (8-1) plays Thursday in Ashburn at the Turner County tournament.
