Bainbridge-- Fifty-six year old Rachel Beachem was found stabbed to death in her Bainbridge home monday night.  Since then her neighbors have been terrified, knowing the killer was still on the loose.

"I'm having to leave late at night and not knowing who's round the corner or whatever, and it had me looking out the door, checking my house at night. Seeing if anybody's in there. I was just, like I said like a prisoner," says Kimberly Watson, a neighbor of the victim.

Last night Bainbridge Public Safety, with the help of the GBI, arrested the man they think is the killer.  Twenty-six year old Eddie Dwayne Starks.

"We interviewed a number of possible suspects in the case and during the investigation things started pointing in Mr. Starks direction, through crime scene evidence and interviews.  We arrested him last night, charged him with murder," says Special Agent in Charge, Ronnie Thompson.

Starks lived at 111 Sunset Drive, just minutes from Beachem's home on Troupe street.  At this time, police aren't saying what connection, if any the two had.

Neighbors say they're relieved an arrest has been made, but are still questioning the security they once felt at home. "I would feel better if they did, put more lights on the back, or up the security a little bit or something," says Watson.

Starks is currently being held at the Decatur County jail.  Invesitgators say more charges will most likely be filed.

Investigators refuse to release many details of the case.  They say they don't want to hinder the prosecution of Starks.
