Valdosta - Valdosta Police arrest seven suspects in a string of holiday burglaries.
Police say 26-year-old Richard Hurst, 27-year-old Anna Jenkins, and 47-year-old Judy Bozman, all of Valdosta, were arrested in two residential burglaries on December 6th and 13th.
Police also arrested 21-year-old Roderick Wooden, 21-year-old April Gay, 17-year old Kwame White, and 19-year-old Joshua Bridges, also of Valdosta, for residential burglaries on the 19th of this month.
Investigators say the number of burglaries increase each year during the holiday season. "We normally do see an increase in burglaries and car breakins during the holiday season, but I can also tell you our clearance rate for these cases are above the national average, and we strive to raise those averages every year," says Capt. Brian Childress of the Valdosta Police.
The police department is offering a cash reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of burglars.
