Albany -- The man who has overseen much of downtown Albany's redevelopment is leaving.
Albany Tomorrow Incorporated President Tommy Chatmon announced his resignation Tuesday morning to the ATI executive committee. He accepted the job of Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board and Community Redevelopment in Orlando, Florida.
Chatmon will remain with ATI through January.
His departure comes at a time when Albany City Manager Alfred Lott wants to take more direct control over dowtown development.
