Lake Blackshear-- If you're enjoying a day at Lake Blackshear, you'll soon have a new place eat. Monday afternoon, the state broke ground on a new casual dining restaurant next to the new marina at Veterans Memorial State Park.

The 6000 square foot facility will be called the Marina Grill. "We think it's gonna be a fun environment, a great family environment. We're looking to have some significant maybe robust live entertainment here. We think it's gonna be a great place and we hope the community will come out and enjoy it," said Bob Newsome, the Assistant to the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources.

If construction goes as scheduled, the facility will be ready for business next Memorial Day.
