Albany -- Baseball fans in Albany can begin marking their calendars, as the South Coast League has released its schedule for the 2007 season.
The first pitch is thrown out on May 18th, where the South Georgia Peanuts will open at Charlotte County.
Six days later, the Peanuts take the field at the Paul Eames Complex for their home opener against the same Charlotte County Redfish.
It is the first of 45 home games for the Peanuts, and the season will end at home August 29th against the Bradenton Juice.
While fans can start circling dates, the teams management can do the same.
The Peanuts will be at home July 4th, and fireworks can be expected.
General Manager Keith Michlig says they're looking to run consistent promotions every night of the week.
"We'll have promotions throughout the week," says Michlig, "whether it's a Thirsty Thursday promotion, Friday night fireworks, or a Saturday night entertainment and give-away. A lot of the standards you see in monor league parks we'll be doing right here this summer ."
The Peanuts "name the mascot" contest is still going on, and you can submit entries at southgeorgiapeanuts.com.
