Albany - - The spirit of Christmas is shining on stage in Albany.

Theatre Albany wrapped up its holiday musical "The Lovely Sounds of Christmas" Sunday.

The 40 person cast presented three mini musicals consisting of traditional holiday favorites.

The play gave Theatre Albany the chance to collaborate with the Albany Chorale.

"It called for a choral group in it and I invited the chorale and they graciously agreed to join us," says Mark Costello.

Though Sunday was the last day to catch this performance, cast members are already hard at work on next month's play, "Blues in the Night."

It describes the experiences of three women who have gone through sorrowful relationships.

Next year, Theatre Albany will celebrate its 75th anniversary.
