Thomasville-- Thomas County commissioners don't want any part of it, if Interstate 185 is routed through South Georgia.

The Thomas County Commission chairman says they have three main roadways and they think that's enough. And they plan to voice their opposition at a meeting in Albany tomorrow morning.

"I've talked to several peoples, individuals in Thomas County and quite frankly it's not a popular subject. We're just not quite ready for an interstate coming through Thomas County," says chairman Josh Herring.

Some business leaders are pushing to extend Interstate 185 from Columbus through Albany, Camilla, Pelham and Thomasville, along U.S. Highway 19, all the way to the Florida line.
