Albany-  An Albany businesswoman is warning others after mail stolen from her mailbox turned up when someone tried to cash one of the business' checks.

Ella and Hope Campbell own H. Campbell and Associates Interior Design. They didn't realize that two days of mail had been stolen from their mailbox until they got a call from SunTrust Bank about someone trying to cash one of the businesses checks.

"They said an odd acting woman had come into the bank with our check, a check made out to us, and had asked that it be given to her in the form of a cashiers check and they started asking her questions and the answers she was giving did not add up to being truthful," said Ella Campbell, a victim.

The bank didn't cash the check and the woman fled. The Albany Police along with the U-S Postal Inspection Service are investigating the mail fraud. The Campbell's mail is now being placed through a mail slot in their door.
