Valdosta - A memorial service has been arranged for a Moody Airman who was killed while training on base.

The service for 33 year-old Major Douglas Rothenhofer will be held Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Valdosta.

Rothenhofer was killed Friday morning when he fell from an obstacle during a routine exercise at Moody Air Force Base.

He was pronounced dead at South Georgia Medical Center.

He leaves behind his wife , Angela, daughter Kathryn, as well as an unborn daughter due in 2007.

He will be buried in Fort Wayne Indiana Saturday December 9th.
