Leesburg -- A Lee County Commissioner, who's the target of a recall effort, says her enrollment at the University of Georgia in Athens, does not prevent her from being available to her constituents back in Lee County.

23 year old Jo Ealum says the recall effort is just a ploy to discredit her. Ealum has a lawsuit pending against Lee County deputies who arrested her and her sister on alcohol charges.

Ealum said "I hate that I am being personally attacked. I am working. Please call me and e-mail me. Anyway I could come to you and represent your. That's why I am here."

Recall organizers have until December 7th to get 100 signatures on their recall application, to start their recall petition.
