Couple arrested after high speed chase

November 29, 2006

Valdosta - A Florida couple is behind bars charged with robbing two people and leading police on a high speed chase through four counties.

Twenty-two year-old Daniel Willey and 22 year-old Angel Rider, both of Bradenton, Florida were arrested Tuesday.

Police say they forced their way into this house and robbed 73 year-old Edith Burnham before stealing her Lincoln town car.

Investigators say they drove her car to Tifton and robbed a woman in a Wal-mart Shopping Center.

When deputies in Turner County noticed the stolen vehicle and tried to pull them over, the couple led them on a high speed chase through Crisp, Dooly, and Pulaski Counties.

They were apprehended after they crashed into a tree.

They are currently being held in the Tift County Jail.
