Albay -- Additional charges are added to the murder indictment against an Albany man prosecutors say killed a man over a two dollar bet.
Charges of aggravated assault with a knife and concealed weapons charges were added to the murder indictment against Charles Gaillard.
Prosecutors say Gaillard shot Richard Hardwick between the eyes with a .22 caliber pistol September 10th outside a pool hall on East Broad Avenue.
Prosecutors say Gaillard and Hardwick were arguing over a two dollar bet Hardwick lost, and would not pay. As the argument escalated, prosecutors say Gaillard pulled a knife, and then a gun to threaten Hardwick, and ended with the man dead.
Investigators say Gaillard claimed self defense in the killing, and stayed at the pool hall after the shooting, waiting for Police.
