Moultrie-  The Southern Judicial Circuit defends victims all year, but they're giving those victims some extra support during the holidays.

The District Attorney's Office in Moultrie kicked off its Operation Christmas campaign this week. The office will be collecting toys for young victim's holiday wish lists and this year the caseloads have nearly doubled.

"This year, the Colquitt County office seems to have a slightly higher caseload than normal and also some of the families that have been impacted by crime just seem to be larger families this year with the number of children," said Brian McDaniel, Moultrie Assistant District Attorney.

The District Attorney's office already has a list of 15 children, ages four to sixteen that have completed wish lists.  To help contact Coral Brooks in the District Attorney's office at (229) 616-7476.
