Albany--  If you plan to travel early for the Christmas holiday, you may find a good deal on airfare from Albany.

Delta is offering some sales for travel dates between now and December 15th. Southwest Georgia Regional Airport Director Yvette Aehle says flights that leave closer to Christmas could still cost you a good amount because of supply and demand.

She says this year will bring a record number of people traveling by air.

"It's always better of course to plan ahead but I think that this Christmas season, we're supposed to have a record number of people traveling all over the country so it's not going to be a very happy scenario if you're looking for Christmas tickets right now," said Aehle.

Some good news-- Aehle says customers can now see more even pricing between Albany's Airport and surrounding airports like Columbus and Valdosta.

Customers often complain about higher prices out of Albany. Aehle says those prices are now more competitive.
