Albany-- The NPD Group, a leading consumer and retail information company, says they expect shoppers to spend around $728 on their gifts this year, versus the $681 they averaged last year.

Some shoppers though say the sky's the limit.   " I didn't set a budget, because for my little ones, there's no budget. You love them, you're going to get what you need for them and what you want them to have. No budget," says Latonca Davis.

Traditional gift items like toys, electronics, and clothing are expected to be this year's biggest sellers.
