Gas prices up for the holidays

November 23, 2006

Albany - No surprise here -- gas stations are trying to take advantage of the most traveled weekend of the year. Although some stations in Albany kept prices the same, others raised the price of regular unleaded as much as ten cents.

Kevin Williams says he's not surprised by the price hike.  He says, "I believe they knew Thanksgiving was approaching and a lot of people would be traveling and it's an opportunity I guess to get money."

Although prices may have gone up in South Georgia, you still may consider yourself thankful to live here, considering the national average is $2.23 a gallon.
