Albany - The city of Albany just spent big money to repair the roof on the Civic Center... But it's still leaking. Civic Center employees say the problem is the design of the roof.

They recommended putting on a new roof, but city commissioners want to hold off. Anderson Roofing, the same company that installed the current roof in 1990, placed a bid on the current project. Tuesday, city commissioners decided to pull the bid proposal until they can find a bidder who can put a new roof on that will compensate for the design problems in order to eliminate leaks.

A little more than a year ago, the city authorized spending $1.2 Million on Civic Center repairs, including fixing the leaky roof.
