Albany --  The families of 100 elementary children, who would otherwise go without, will have a hearty holiday meal this week.

The Albany area Board of Realtors, partnered with West Town Elementary school to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need. This year, they filled 100 bags, some with turkeys and hams.

Board President Phoebe Hatcher says knowing the children and their families are taken care of on that special day, will make her Thanksgiving even better. "This is a time of year all of the families are enjoying Thanksgiving and we wanted to show our appreciation back to the community by helping others," said Hatcher.

This isn't the only time of year the Board of Realtors helps out students at West Town Elementary. They've also provided school supplies at the schools.
