Thomas County-  Thomas University will open its campus to prospective students Saturday.

The school will host a visitation day for nearly 50 students interested in Thomas University. Last year enrollment in the freshman class was up 12 percent.

"We're hoping with the way the numbers are looking right now to see a similar increase in our spring, new student class as well," said Heather Mueller, Thomas University Admissions.

The four year institution recruits students from a six county area, including Tallahassee, Florida.
