Albany- The South Georgia Wildcats will not have to open the season with a team that has already played their first game.
The Wildcats will open their season on the opening weekend of the 2007 AF2 season at home against the Arkansas Twisters.
It is the first of three home games in the first four weeks for the Wildcats and new head coach Derek Stingley.
In each of the past two seasons, South Georgia's opening opponents Macon and Tennessee Valley both had played their season opener in the prior week.
Other teams coming to the Civic Center next year are Louisville, Tennessee Valley, Florida, Corpus Christi, Wilkes-Barre, Texas and Birmingham.
The second half of the season will be difficult for the Wildcats who play three straight road games in a span of four weeks.
