Valdosta -- A South Georgia manufacturing company is named 2006 Manufacturer of the year by the Valdosta Lowndes Chamber of Commerce.
ERCO is the largest producer of the technology that's used in bleaching chemicals worldwide. The company opened in Valdosta 10 years ago, and is one of the largest property taxpayers in Lowndes County and top manufacturing employers.
"We're so proud of Jeff Fulp and all the employees here in winning this award and look forward to continuing a long and great relationship with Valdosta," said Paul Timmons, ERCO's worldwide President.
ERCO was chosen based on the company's impact on the community, corporate citizenship, and diversity and rewards programs.
