Albany -- A follow-up to a story about an elderly woman carjacked at gunpoint Thursday night.
East Albany resident Laura Davis says police knocked on her door yesterday and told her that her stolen 1997 Honda Accord was found. Police say the car was found stashed behind some trees off Ball Park Lane around three Saturday afternoon.
Sixty-four year-old Davis says a weight is lifted off her shoulders now that her car is found, because she has been without transportation, house keys, and her pocketbook since Thursday.
She says it's hard dealing with the traumatic memories from being held at gunpoint.
"I just got upset you know, and I gave him the key. I thought right quick wasn't nobody out there I was calling. Nobody wasn't in the parking lot so I just gave up the keys," said Laura Davis.
Police say they have Davis's accord in custody for fingerprinting and evidence. She says police will release the car later this week.
Albany police are still searching for a man wanted for a different carjacking incident that same night. Police think 26-year-old Kelvin Montrez Leroy carjacked a victim at Heritage Bank on Loftus Drive and he may be responsible for some other crimes.
Anyone with information on Leroy should call Crimestoppers at (229) 436 - TIPS.
