Grady County-  It was a bad year for some south Georgia farmers and it's having an effect on many other businesses that service those farmers. Now those businesses are getting some help of their own.

Those businesses in 8 south Georgia counties can now apply for low interest federal loans. The businesses include farm implement dealers, seed and feed stores, spraying an irrigation. Salesmen at GreenSouth Equipment have seen fewer sales earlier this year because of predictions of a poor year.

"If the farmers not getting a high price for his crops then you know he might not consider buying you know or replacing a tractor for next year or buying a new set of planters or what have you," said Micky Davis, GreenSouth Equipment Salesman.

The loans are available locally for businesses in Clinch, Decatur, Echols, Grady, Seminole, and Ware Counties.
